Northeastern Pa.
Here natural gas rigs use a line- up of huge diesel power units mounted on big off-road trucks. those engines run full bore and really grunt. Once the well is drilled and put online a big Cat engine with a huge pump pushes the gas to the main pipelines which are miles away. The one on our pad has fan blades that are about 6'+ long so you have a 12' fan running full bore 24-7. These motors and the pump are in an enclosed car port type building with an open end for the fan that has a heavy wire guard on the front. These things are noisy but thank fully ours is behind our house facing south. If we get an east wind it sounds like a Hewy helicopter.
As I said on here a while ago -landmen are ruthless guys with huge egos. Billy Bob plays the part perfectly! I have stories of the ones that came to me from seismic companies, pipeline and gas companies. All the same! I played hard ball right back and won some issues and lost some.
There is a large windmill farm next to us and the power goes to the Baltimore grid. I have no idea how that's done being 200 some miles away.
