Agree - it has a risk of going to zero. Could be soon, or years from now though...
The quantum computing experts have been parading their latest and greatest processors recently. Along with that, one of the quantum industry leaders said that cracking bitcoin security is within 5 years on the current generation of chips, so bitcoin folks better take notice and enhance their digital security to be quantum-proof ASAP. It possible that bitcoin security has already been breached, and we just don't know it yet...
At some point all ponzi-schemes fail when the "greater fool" cannot be found to buy it, a "worthless asset", from current holders, using "not worthless assets".
Mind you, my comment is coming from the place of I will do bounces in and out of bitcoin to flip it, but it is absolutely worthless and am full well aware of that.
That being said
To say that Qcomputing is bitcoins downfall.... Yeah, well.
Yes, that is true, but if it gets to that point, not only is bittycoin a dead donkey, so are your bank accounts and credit cards as they are no "more secure" than bitcoin vs a Qcomputer
So that is kinda a pointless argument against it, especially when there are so many good arguments why it is stupid investing based on greater fool theory (which seems to be about 70% of the stock market right now also with these valuations) |
