Subject: Cage free eggs

Thumb of Michigan
Well, another change forthcoming HERE in Michigan, I did a little grocery shopping for the better half this morning and the local Kroger store had a sign on the egg cooler. "As of January 1, 2025, per new law, we will be only selling 'cage free' eggs, sorry for your inconvenience during this transition period." Not exactly word for word, but close enough, bought 18 eggs today for just shy of $5.50, wonder what the cost will be come January 1. I didn't think I was living in California yet.

Time to get off my soapbox.
