The industry doesn’t need 10% of ethanol blended. Between 5-8% ethanol blend depending on location/time of year meets the oxygenate requirement. The RFS mandate is the only reason we are at 10%.


My counter argument would be that every gallon of gas should be an 8% blend year around. If this was the case we wouldn't need the RFS and corn prices would be much higher
