I have a CaseIH combine with a Pro 700 and and an AgLeader Integra for my planter controlling my Graham electric drives. What software would best fit my needs to make yield maps and write prescriptions for planting. It would be nice to load fields and planting data to the combine as well. Suggestions? Thanks!

I don't believe SMS could handle your desire to plant with the Integra and then transfer the planting variety maps to the Pro 700 for harvest. I could easily be wrong however.

SMS could handle the situation the other way round. That is is if the crop was planted with a non-Ag Leader display but harvested with an Ag Leader display planting maps, could be available in the combine. The process is to create files within SMS that represent the planting data and then load that data into the display at harvest time.

That process would work something like this: The planting information from the non-Ag Leader device would be read into SMS. SMS could make maps, summaries, print outs etc. SMS can also be instructed to create a Reference map of the varieties. A file would be created for each field and stored on a USB stick.

At harvest time, the USB stick would be inserted in the Ag Leader display in the combine. Upon reaching a field, the operator would choose the background reference file for that field from the USB stick. This map would be temporarily loaded into the Ag Leader where it would behave as a background reference map. Different colors could represent different varieties etc. As the field is harvested, the colored areas representing the variety would be replaced by a yield map. Upon finishing a field, the operator would move to another field and and chose the appropriate background reference file for that field. This file would be read in and become the temporary background map while harvesting that field. The background maps do not become part of the Ag Leader's memory.

For example, suppose you started harvesting a field name HOME. You would choose the background reference map to bring up the variety map off the USB stick. You harvest part of the field but decide to try another field. You move to a field called SMITH. You would then need to load the SMITH background reference map. The variety map for that field would appear and you could proceed with harvest. Later when you return to finish the field called HOME, you would need to reload the background map again and continue harvesting where you left off.
