Subject: Pulling Pro700 out of a Flagship

NW Missouri
I bought a 1240 Case planter that I am going to need a pro600/700 to run. I have a 7120 with a 700 in it.

I'm sure I'd need to buy some software before it would work on the planter, but my question is, should I try to move it back and forth or should I just buy an old 600 to run the planter with. Considering the 700 isn't just for yield, but runs all functions of the combine, is it risky to pull it out and use it for something else? And should I assume I won't be able to move the combine around in the shed to get to other stuff if the 700 isn't in it?
