Subject: RE: Tramatic brain injury and concussions

Pittsburg, Kansas
That was definitely worse than mine. I had "numerous"(in the doctors words to my wife) broken ribs but surprisingly only a bone in my little finger on left hand broken and clavicle fractured. I must have landed almost flatly on my back on the pavement (slightly harder on the left side) as my body was black from the bruise from my knees to my sholders on my back side.

Don't know if the deer landed on top of me or not but could see later when I inspected the crashed motorcycle (weeks later) there was deer hair on the handlebars and they were bent back some. I think the deer just swept me off the seat (Kwasaki KLX 300 new I was test driving to buy).

I think my injuries would have been much worse had I not landed flat but instead rolled and twisted. It was winter so had a riding jacket on with some padding that helped also. Only minor road rash on left arm and a hole in the jacket.

I was very lucky. Came within a hair of not bening around any more. Sounds like you did also. Glad you are ok from it.
