Pittsburg, Kansas | The guy that lived with the Inuits for quite a while, I forget his name. I think he said in his book that they would eat the fatty meat and give the lean muscle parts to the sled dogs for food.
He was the one that did the medical experiment in a controlled hospital setting where he ate only meat for a year I think it was. Becuase the scientific community thought you could not survive on meat only. Yet he had done it with the Inuits. So he proved it. The meals were carefully controlled and he did not leave the facility so not possibility of cheating. The only problem he ran into was when the diet they provided had too little fat. He got sick for a few days. He requested more fat with the meat and completed the scientific experiment in very good health.
