Pittsburg, Kansas | Mine was kind of funky in that respect. I know exactly what you are saying because my older brother has suffered with them that way.
Mine was a lot different. I just mostly felt sick to my stomach. Like I was going to puke but couldn't or wouoldn't. It just kept getting worse. Of course I had one stuck in my ureter tube between the kidney and bladder. So I think infection was what was making me sick. But I never had bend over pain like most people do. I do have a pretty high threshold for pain though. In fact I was in the hospital several days before they finally discovered what the problem was exactly. Well, I guess it was the second stay when they realized one was stuck.
Then they blasted me with the sound wave thingy and that went well. Till I went home and about two or three the next morning. They had blasted so hard they damaged one kidney and THEN is when I thought I was going to die and kind of whished I would. THAT sucked. Not much they could do about it other than give more pain medicine than they had already prescribed me to go home.
The blasting broke a bunch of them up but the one in the ureter (the one really causing the problems) was still stuck. So another hospital stay and they went in through my penis and yanked it out with some sort of grabby thing. Yikes! But I got better then.
