Not everyone is a diabetic like you. I am delighted that the all meat thing is working for you to combat your disease. Unfortunately for those who are not diabetic it is a recipe for clogged arteries and colo-rectal cancers. You aren't a doctor! Stop playing one on this site. Low carb low sugar? Yeah that makes sense and I don't believe a lot of doctors would argue with you. Fatty meats and eggs as a mainstay is going to cause most people issues. Just yesterday you advised someone to stay away from lean meats like chicken!


The thing is, if you cut out the carbs they have to be replaced by something. There are three food groups. Protein, fat and carbohydrates. Protein is mostly a building block for the body. It can be used as energy but is a very inefficient process. The body avoids it unless a person is eating excessive amounts of protein or is in starvation mode (when muscle tissue is sacrificed for energy). So that leaves fat and carbohydrates for energy sources. If you cut out carbs, fat becomes the dominant energy source. It can be dietary fat or fat from ones own belly.

Insulin levels are the key to fat burning. High insulin fat burning turned off and fat storage turned on. Insulin low and fat burning becomes the main source for energy production.

The body can convert fat to glucose and glucose to fat as needed. But insulin is the hormone key to how that is handled. Eating large amounts of carbohydrates (which produces insulin spikes) makes it impossible to burn body fat and even the fat that is eaten with the carbs will be shunted to fat storage.

Insulin levels are the key.
