Subject: Birdie burger lunch

Pittsburg, Kansas
One of my favorite meals is two third or half pound hamburger patties, two slices of cheese (Swiss, American or pepper jack), two strips of bacon (more would be even better), and two over medium eggs on top and any lettuce, tomato and onion that comes with the burger. No bun.

At the "Farm to Market" little store in McCune, Kansas they call it a Birdie burger (1/3# patties) on the menu in the resturant portion of the store. The Birdie Burger only comes with one over easy egg but they know I always want two.

Great lunch and wife makes the same thing at home periodically only without the lettuce or tomato normally. Never a bread bun, although my wife makes some low carb bisquits without wheat flour that are delicious but usually just eat the hamburger with a knife and fork.

Plus the store is a nice 20 mile ride from home on gravel roads with my dual purpose motorcycles or pavement with my road bikes. So a really nice motorcycle ride and lunch. I do it often in the summer as long as the weather is good.
