Long story, but I am looking at having to store a new, unboxed dishwasher in an unheated building for about six weeks until a kitchen is ready for it to be installed. It will be exposed to some pretty severe subfreezing temps. Do I need to worry about residual water left in the machine from possible testing done at factory assembly?

I'm going to say NO, I can't imagine them being sent out with the possibly of freezing, every truck isn't heated that I know of (I'm referring to the van trailer part). let alone warehouse/dock or even the shipping container that might have been on a boat and/or train first.
