Drive to east fence line
Press the pause button.
Drive to West fence line and monitor should tell you how many feet you are from your paused point.
Divide that number by 2 to know where the half way point is. Drive back towards the paused point until the monitor shows the correct length. That point will be exactly in the middle of the east and west fence line.
Now do the same thing to find the center of the field north and south.
Once you have the center point, you can check it by pausing your gps over the center point and then drive the until the distance from the paused point is the same length as your irrigator.
Now you can drive the entire path of the irrigator by watching your paused distance and keeping it at that length.
It has been my experience that google earth using the circle tool and using the gps cordinance of the circle center will get you within 2-4 feet of actual RTK gps. | |
