We are putting up a used pivot needing to find out where to put the center. The other pivot we put up without a dealer I used a string the length of the pivot and walked around the field to the close spots. It ended up in the right spot but I don't want to do that again. I know our dealer uses a gun that he has calibrated yearly, but I figure there's an obvious low tech option that doesn't involve 1300ft of string?
