I built a terrace a couple weeks ago, and had to wipe out two old broadbase terraces to get this one in. so after I worked that ground smooth and it was so dry it had the consistency of flour. about a foot deep. we had 2.35" of real slow soaking rain. now it is a foot of absolute goo. I doubt I get it treated till next spring now. all the other soybean stubble was notill and it is pretty solid but still way too wet underneath all that trash.
