NorthCentral Illinois | Using the Haney test to determine the amount of organic N each soil zone provides. The soil is pulled down to 16 inches to try and get a good reading of the organic N. The organic N is available for the corn to use that summer.
Using NH3 on a 12 row bar running around 6-7 mph depending on field and corn height. The bar has Yetter Magnums on it that do an excellent job of sealing the N in. The rate controller does a good job of changing the rates haven’t noticed any lag with rates changing. | |
