Can you do the work yourself?
If you answered good and yes, do it. If either is a no, probably not a good move.
Our house was built in 1919 and the foundation is junk. Makes it really hard to want to fix it up. A previous owner gutted it and remodeled in the 70's but didn't fix the foundation. Wasted effort. If (big if) we replace the basement and make it right, everything they did will be ruined. | |
