NE MO | We run 3 wheel terra gators spreading lime. I’ve spread a lot of nasty ground that by all means needs given back to the Indians. Use your head and a 3 wheel machine is just fine. I hear all the time I should buy a 4 wheeler but I prefer 3. My suggestion is look at mid 2000 model 8103 machines. 8.1 Deere engine and a funk transmission. Check for play in front fork bearing and the other obvious things. Only thing that will cause issues really is how much rust is on the hydraulic fittings and how much you’ll cuss changing out a hose. A new leader 3020 bed will do just fine for what you’re after. I run l4000 beds with hp hydraulics but that’s overkill for most. Some of those machines are still running a raven 660 controller, a lot have been switched to viper pro. Regardless of what most say, there’s nothing wrong with a viper pro. | |
