scmn | While I try to refrain from using fowl language, ocassionally it is necessary to get the point across. On the few ocassions when I have used it on the phone with a company, I have typically gotten the response that it is not necessary to use fowl language and that I needed to refrain from using it or they would hang up; at that point I informed them that they are correct that I should not have to use fowl language, but that fowl language is an effective attention getter and had they been listening to what I was trying to convey rather than giving me some "BS" runaround I would not have had to resort to cursing just to get their attention and now that I had their attention I expect them to listen to what I had to say and quit cutting me off. Often they shutup and listen at that point and you get moved up to someone who can do something; occassionally you have to explain to the manager that had they trained their employees to listen and communicate rather than regurgitate pre determined responses that the fowl language never would have happended in the first place.
Long story short, limted usage and properly placed fowl language can be effective attention getter. |
