Amherst WI | Hear me out here. I know I’ll be called out for lunatic thoughts because that’s what happens every time I mention this.
Maybe these places don’t need to be so huge they need to hire so much help?
I know, I know, crazy right?!?
Nearly every “farm” wants to advertise their product with the little red barn but what they don’t show is the high crop tractor and lettuce packing equipment going through the field with 40 migrant workers.
Maybe this country has become too spoiled on cheap food, maybe we are better off with a family farm of 4-5 people growing 10 acres of produce instead of 20,000 with the help of folks with questionable immigration status.
Maybe some of the people who want to come here would even start their own farms instead of being a serf?
