On the older ones where the end of the shaft is kind of exposed, drill a hole and thread in a zerk, or even two on opposite sides. Give it a shot or two of grease every day or two and it will never wear out, and never seize to the shaft. I don't know if the newer ones are buried behind too much shielding to make it practical to do or not.
