| Yes they don’t rattle many times now. Used to if one got off in the ditch you could throw some rocks in there and he would rattle and you shoot him. Now he will probably just hide.
I’ve been told it’s because the wild pigs eat them and they can escape the pig by staying quiet.
The comment above about being jumpy is right, if your working in weeds and find one, it’s not too fun to go back to working in the weeds. | |
