Subject: Is your wife handy?

east central ND
Is this going to be a project that both of you will work on and enjoy the results?

Or, is your wife seeing the final picture of YOU spending the next 5 years renovating the house?

Or are you going to have to spend a couple hundred thousand hiring new electrical, new HVAC, new insulation, new windows, new siding, new roof, etc, etc…….?

Is the house well built? Or was it done on the cheap when constructed? I remolded most of my last house. Kept me busy and out of trouble for years. But it was a poorly / cheaply build house from the late 1910 era.

The farmhouse I live in now was built about the same time, also built on the cheap. Lots of renovations 40 years ago, but could really use better insulation, windows, and siding. And then there are the structural issues of a hundred year old lightly built house……….
