I did flag a few plants in each stripe, tissue sampled and hand harvested. The stunted plants were deficient in N and S, and final yield was 50+ bpa better for the plants that found the band first. Again, worst case conditions with the rye cover and very light ground, but it made the decision for us to run liquid with the planter.
