Northern Indiana | No one does fall applied here. The manager couldn’t believe I was considering it. Relatively low CEC here on a lot of soils, average just a tick under 7 across the farm. O.M. is more variable but across the heavier clays it’s under 3 average for sure. Really feast or famine. Farm some deep rich muck that’s in the mid 60s for O.M. and lots and lots of clay loam that runs in the mid 2s. So we don’t have much holding capacity in most of our ground. We run stabilizer in the March and early April applied NH3. Once it gets to late April and into May some years we just roll without.
