You should wait a year from when you apply lime for it to work in and activate. The other thing is you said it was weeds in 2024… I would want to plant a crop that would take care of the weeds first before you seed alfalfa.
Land roller plant then land roll again.
As expensive as brillions are… unless you plan on seeding acres every year just rent it for this project.
If you have no rocks a field cultivator would be a good tool. A level seedbed that’s smooth is what you want.
