Hooker Twp,Ne | I lived right through it. Didn’t have a pot to piss in or window to throw it out. Had some good landlords. Had a good Farmers Home Administration loan officer at the time. Took a lot of determination. Had a job on the side at lawnmower factory. Remember going there for interview and guy told me there was 50 people wanting job. I told him if I didn’t work to their satisfaction the first two week he didn’t have to pay me. I did get the job. There was a Pom o tasie ( not right spelling) group and if someone bid at farm sale they’d get around you and that was end of bidding. Machinery sales were scattered out different directions so not two sales in same area at one time. Seems bank examiners were the threat of farmers. Finally changed bank. I had my cash flow and collateral sheet all ready for him. I gave it to him and he looked at it and he told me he wasn’t really looking for new customers. He looked at them a bit and said I’ll tell you one thing I don’t intend in going to your place and counting hogs or looking at your machinery and don’t lie to me. Now how do we want to get started. Do you need to borrow some money today. Been with that man ever since even though interest has been bit higher at times. Amen | |
