NW Wisconsin | Honestly it doesnt pay down south but up here you need every bit of help. Seasons so short it cant have a bad day. When you plant though snowbanks and harvest when the ground is freezing up on a normal year need every good day you can get. Planting shorter maturity corn isnt an option with 5bu loss per day of maturity.
However depending on the ground with banding efficencys it doesnt make sense to put as much "starter" as you can. Really low P levels broadcasting just all gets tied up where banding seems to overcome it. Plus less losses above ground for something like N. | |
