I would do A if you are set on a fence that tall. I think most people build too tall in my opinion. Cows mostly test a fence around nose level.

We do 5 strand. Posts set at 48" with the top wire about 46. Wire spacing is about 8" with 14" space on bottom.

We also run a smooth offset hot wire on fiberglass post. 25" off the ground. Set about 8" from the barbwire fence. Our cows won't reach through. It's enough distance from the barbwire that the deer will very rarely wrap the smooth hotwire into the barbwire.
