I was quoted $335 for this years seed corn. Dry fertilizer for 275bu/acre removal rate of $93/acre.
I will lower my expectations and buy $85 seed corn, $72/acre removal rate for dry instead of $93, $12/acre less nitrogen, $15/acre less harvest and drying cost. Could I expect only a 30bu./acre drop in yield? Are there any other savings that could apply? Interest, insurance.......
