My wife drinks coffee, I don't care for it.
She requested an espresso machine so I did some diligence and bought her a machine that costs about as much as a monthly mortgage payment. The machine will add water to the initial espresso batch, like you describe, my wife says this is an 'americano' or something similar. It all smells very nice.
