I made a box trap out of a 6" pipe.
Trigger hangs down in the middle to release the back door.
It pulls a #9 wire the back door is setting on.
I have caught scores of coons in it. Just set it on the back of my atv and drive to a stock tank, drop trap in. Come back and get it and haul them where the smell don't bother.
No room for them to raise their tail.
Never had one stink.
