I do it all the time, I prefer to plant on top of my NH3 if applied in the fall, it eliminates the uneven when the corn is small. If applied in the spring I will shift around 7 inches so as not to plant directly into an NH3 slot. I do have some I applied last fall as “striptill” that I planted directly into this spring and seemed to work well, don’t have a yield check yet. My soils are pretty heavy and don’t usually have a moisture problem so your results may vary.
