NE WI | I only buy replacement iPhone parts from ifixit. eBay and Amazon are hit and miss.
I’ve replaced the battery on my iPhone 8. I had to as the battery puffed up and bulged the screen out.
You need to heat the screen up and use a suction cup tool and guitar picks to get it open as it’s held tight with adhesive. Small screws and connectors inside also.
Ifixit sells a tool kit too. They also have repair videos for all the parts they sell.
I found the best way to heat up the phone is with a dehydrator at 60C. Even heat and the screen comes up easy.
Had to pry the old battery out cause that pull tab broke for the adhesive strip. | |
