All I know is my Pro 700's and Ag Leader, 0/90 degrees is parallel with the grid roads/property lines and thats the right way IMO.

I do wish SMS would orient its mapping to the 0 degree measurement though, drives me nuts that the roads/property lines are at an angle to the workspace window. And makes it a PITA to create proper boundaries, gotta create guidance lines with the proper headings and then trace those in the boundary/generic editor which is pretty poor design.


That's interesting. You must have had a declination of zero the day that laid the map out in your county. Some properties around here have an 8 degree angle, which is what the declination was in the early 1800s.
