When I went to set the max working height the bar did not move when I lowered and raised the feeder throat. I felt like I never had to have the combine engaged before to set max working height. What am I missing?

Correct - you do not need the rotor engaged to set the max working height. If the bar is not responding, then you most likely have a sensor issue or a wiring/connector issue. Since the dealer just replaced the sensor, hopefully it's not that.

What model combine?
