Let him quit.
Get him some bottle calves, give him a farm task, let him grow and market some vegetables.
So many things that are better use of time than football, even for an 11 year old.
Give him purpose. Something valuable
This right here. I don't have kids. But my siblings were both into sports, I never wanted a thing to do with any real sports. I would go skating on ponds and shoot some pucks etc. But
I'd much rather go fishing or grow some vegetables or play around with an old tractor.
